Structural / Classical Osteopathy
Structural osteopathy is the better known aspect of osteopathy which most people are familiar with.
It uses a variety of hands-on mobilisation techniques which may be slow and rhythmical or small but very fast movements. We may use any combination of dozens of techniques, depending on what is best suited for you at that time. We'll typically use techniques such as: - Articulation - Deep soft tissue massage - Muscle energy techniques - Specific joint manipulation Structural osteopathy aims to improve the way your muscles, bones and joints function & interrelate. We aim to maintain your comfort at all time; if there is any technique you had done before and didn't like, tell us and we'll adapt our treatment accordingly. There are normally several alternative techniques we can use. |
